@badderchic - Ain't we just! Lol

@jaycee - That says it all!

@shubby doo - When she was mouthing off just before she went in, all i could say was 'please let her be good. please let her be good'. But alas...

@kush - Too late, i'm afraid. It's already all over the internet!

@naijalines - Lol! She got nos all round

@30+ - According to her, she's better than Whitney...Delusions of grandeur, not so?

@Florida - Tell me about it! I watched through my fingers and cringed

Afrobabe said...

lmao...yes she can sing...but can she pronounce the words??? I would love to hear the comments but the humour ion Simon's face says it all....

Umm yeah...I couldn't finish listening to it. One thing I've learnt: The fact that you love a song doesn't mean that the song loves you, or your throat.

@UCS - i hoped 2 but deep down i had that sinking feeling... but the woman just floored me with her badness...poor lass couldn't hold the tune...not sure she even hit one correct note...me i no go lie, i laughed hard...i felt for her sha but i'm sorry if you put yourself up for these things it is to be expected...

Adebola wasn't as bad as Ashik (who sang the take that song)...i really wanted his music to 'heal the world' but mehnnn the guy finished me...i was in stitches

I wonder if either of them will be back for the final show 2 sing again...i hope so

Im speechless.......
nxa but I blame her friends and family
what they did was unforgiveable
Why did they let her humliate herself like that?
They should have tied her to the bedpost if she kept insisting on going.
Unless she is an orphan.....

Your humor is so tongue in cheek!

at first I thought u meant "here's a naija sister doing us proud"

then I listened to it and thought, "am i the only one who thinks she can't sing?"

then I read the comments and went "LMAO!"

Naapali said...

sounds like blogville idol to me
*ducks as geisha.song, abbie and Thirty+ hurl their slippers in his direction*

Afrobabe said...

lmao @ naapali...our very own blogville idol??? lmao..

but seriously i am sure she is a choir leader in her church or something...those horrible speakers have decived her into thinking she is the next Whitney Houston...

UndaCovaSista said...

afrobabe - the looks on their faces say it all!

@archiwiz - Thank you! It's amazing how it's the truly awful ones that are the cockiest

@shubby doo - I laughed too! she really set herself up big time. And that guy was appaling. He really believed he could heal the world! Na wa for these people...

@Miss definitely maybe - Lol! With a voice like that she's probably driven all her friends and family away..

@geisha.song - She was quite bad! Are you going to let Naapali get away with that comment?!

@ms sula - Lol! I can see i actually fooled a few people along the way. Tehehe..

@bumight - That's exactly the range of emotions i was going for, i exactly that order :)

@naapali - Lol! you are a brave man..

@afrobabe - She must be! you know in some churches people come up and sing and say things 'don't listen to the voice, listen to the words'. Well, that's what you get!

@All - Okay, its not all bad stuff coming from our fellow country men. Check out this link (i cant embed it) of a young man called Joseph Chukukere. I'm guessing thats an igbo name even tho' there's no 'w' in the Chukwu. Now he's good...and the female judges were practically salivating over the poor lad!

Joseph rocked...and he was soooooooooooooo cute...his smile was lush...cheryl cole looked like she was gonna eat him alive but he did kinda look like a young version of her hubby...

ok i'm gonna stop commenting cos it's very obvious that i watch X Factor 2 much!!!

UndaCovaSista said...

@shubby doo - Lol! I thought i was bad!
Did you hear his 18 year old girlfriend has started warning Cheryly off her man in the tabloids. The guy is cute, sha. Shame he's so young :(

Shubby Doo said...

@UCS - i heard o...the girlfriend should wind her neck in jare...

a toyboy aint a bad thing...not at all ;-)...I shall say no more

Naapali said...

@ UCS
- no worries, geisha.song and naijalines already tag teamed to beat me up on Ms. Sula's.
- reminds me of a certain time a certain blogger and friend of mine body slammed me on Arewa's.
- I really should check myself but my fingers run amok on the keyboard.

Anonymous said...

@ucs- God's time is the best. i will do my own in due time!
@naapali- my comeback is on pause. it will be unleashed yet, never fear.
*pinkie in mouth, cue Doctor Evil laugh*

So I joined the debate and this is what I said:

Interesting debate and thanks for sharing the contents of the Beeb's broadcast.

I applaud all the women over thirty who are working and living their lives on their own terms rather than walk the path laid out for them by others. My sister did not get married until her early thirties and know that my parents (forward thinking as they might be relative to their peers) celebrated that with greater fanfare than her being called to the bar.

Truth though is men also face similar though more subtle pressures, albeit probably delayed for longer. My friend, successful doctor in his early forties, never married, faces intense pressure from his parents and friends about his single status. To the extent he had nearly consented to unions that would have been disastrous for him.

As society and lifestyles change, the institutions that supported previous generations will face pressure and many will have to change or be subject to irrelevance, paid attention to only for public purposes but privately lacking in meaning.

Lol.Watched it on saturday and boy was i rolling on the floor, i could tell that she couldn't sing with all that i am better than Whitney Houston but am sure if we dig properly we will find that it's her bobo and her family that told the girl she can sing. I defintely said a prayer for her on saturday night and it was that God should give her courage to come out of her house because the shame too much, Whitney Houston ko, breaking glass ni, even her voice could not break bottles...

UndaCovaSista said...

@waffarian - minutes of shame, you mean! Yes O! the boy is WELL cute...

@laughter - I wonder what she was thinking!
