Hi people. I got back yesterday evening. I had the time of my life! I'll be blogging very soon about what i got up to, the people i met, the sounds, the sights, the smells (not all pleasant!) etc etc.
Morocco is an amazing country. So far removed from what you can imagine if you havent been there. I would whole heartedly recommend it.
The highlight of my trip was hiking in the High Atlas mountains. Words to describe the experience fail me.....!!! But it's still great to be home

Glad to see you have been bitten by the Maroc bug. Did you go for a hammam?
My folks arrived in Casablanca yesterday for a 3 week tour..

Thanks again for the fashion advice, which was, in actual fact wrong (lol, just kidding). However, although i did see a large number of western women in short shorts and spagetti strap tops, i decided to remain conservative cos i was already attracting enough attention just by being 'du noir' and on my own..
I did go for a hammam. It was quite an experience and actually deserves a post of its own...

Mehnnnn, I'm extremely jealous. Infact, too jealous to think or write a sensible commment. I hereby make up my mind to go on vacations when I have the cash.

I loved marrakech...it reminded me of a more sophisticated and cleaner Kano
My next holiday destination after is Morocco, that settles it.

@UKNaija - I havent been to Kano myself, but I was struck by the similarity with Sokoto. I guess you could say the landscape is similar to most northern nigerian cities. And yeah, it is one of those places you instantly fall in love with..

@solomonsydelle - Everything you've heard is true! The smells were mainly donkey shit (mmm, nice ;0)). You're probably ahead of us with Heroes. I missed it the first time round on digital tv and i'm only just catching the first season on terrestial tv...
